Oversaw departmental affairs, including semester course offering and staffing, new faculty hiring, new course development, semesterly course evaluation, annual performance review and faculty professional development.

  •  DigiPen Institute of Technology (2000 ~ Present): Full professor. Taught classes in both undergraduate and graduate levels, including 3D advanced computer graphics, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Raytracing, Animation techniques, real-time rendering and physically-based modeling algorithms. Thesis advisor of many graduate student research projects.

  •  Nintendo Software Technology Corp. (1998~2001): Senior software engineer in conceptual design and prototyping of a 3D game engine for the next generation Nintendo video game console. The state-of-the-art graphical and simulation techniques are investigated, analyzed, critiqued and integrated into the video game systems. Improved several rendering algorithms. Author or co-author of eight provisional patents.

  •  Lockheed Martin Information Systems (1996~1998): Project lead in designing and implementing a system to simulate hydrological effects on ground vehicles. Physically-based weather model, soil moisture strength prediction model and mobility model are integrated to imitate their interactions and effects to the ground trafficability and vehicle operations.

  •  Loral Advanced Distributed Simulation (1993~1996): Pivotal role in designing and implementing an open-architectural, platform-independent software package to advance the state-of-the-art graphical representation of environmental phenomena in network-coupled virtual worlds. Key contributor to the architecture, graphical modeling integration and visualization algorithms. Also led a team to modify the real-time simulation software of the computer image generator to incorporate real time tessellation of a SIMNET database. Implemented a virtual bulldozer based on physical soil models dynamically changing the terrain
